Sambal Terasi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 10 red chilies, chopped
  • 3 bird’s eye chilies, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon terasi (fermented shrimp paste)
  • 1 tablespoon palm sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped red chilies, bird’s eye chilies, garlic, shallots, and tomatoes. Sauté until softened.
